FAQ
Window Cleaning questions, answered.
Straight answers for Richmond homes and businesses. Can't see yours? Ask us.
Is Richmond Window Cleaning a window cleaning company?
No. Richmond Window Cleaning publishes local guidance and passes enquiries to independent providers, who do the work and set the price. See how referrals work for details.
How does a referral work?
You call, send the form or email with your job and area. We pass your enquiry to an independent local provider where one is available. The provider contacts you, quotes and does the work. Your agreement is with the provider.
Who sets the price?
The provider sets the price, not us. Ask for an itemised quote and compare it with others if you wish.
Does it cost anything to send an enquiry?
Sending an enquiry through this site is not billed to you by us. Read how referrals work for how the site operates.
How do I contact you?
Call the number at the top of the page, send the enquiry form or email hello@richmondwindowcleaning.ca. See the contact page.
Which areas do you cover?
Richmond neighbourhoods including Steveston, Brighouse, Terra Nova, Broadmoor, Seafair, Ironwood, Hamilton, East Richmond and Cambie, plus Ladner in Delta.
What should I ask a window cleaning provider before booking?
Ask what is included, whether inside glass, screens and tracks are covered, what insurance they hold, whether they are WorkSafeBC-registered, and how they handle work at height.
Are window cleaners licensed in BC?
We found no BC trade certification specific to window cleaning. Businesses generally need a municipal business licence, and those with workers generally register with WorkSafeBC. Ask the provider to confirm.
Does a window cleaner need a Richmond business licence?
Richmond generally requires a City business licence for businesses operating there. Whether it applies to a mobile provider based elsewhere is something to check with the City.
What is the best time of year to clean windows in Richmond?
Spring is common after the wet season, and early fall is popular before winter. November is Richmond's wettest month, so many people avoid it for exterior work.
Can I pressure wash during Richmond's summer water restrictions?
It depends on the stage in force. Stage 2 allows aesthetic washing of driveways and sidewalks only by a commercial cleaning operation. Stage 3 does not allow it. In 2026, Stage 3 ran June 8 to July 16 and Stage 2 applied before and after. Check richmond.ca for the current stage.
Do you serve Ladner?
Ladner is in Delta, not Richmond, but we'll try to connect you with an independent provider who travels there. Ask the provider about any travel charge.
Ready to get a window cleaning quote?
Send the job and your neighbourhood by phone, form or email. We'll try to connect you with an independent local provider who can quote it.
